Sanctorum Recording Session &
Matt's Ddrum Webpage
On Thursday 8th July - Sanctorum entered Longtrack Studio's for a 'test' recording session, which we were recording a song from our upcoming album.
After 14hours, the untitled track sounds absolutely HUGE!!
We cant wait to record the whole 12track album, with studio owner/engineer Nathan Wacey - this WILL be a new level for Sanctorum!!
There is a possibility that Sanctorum will either release the full track OR a sample of it on the Myspace/Facebook sites - BUT we will only release it if the number of Fans on our Facebook page increases....lets try and hit 1000 Fans!- -----------------

Kris leaves Sanctorum...
Sanctorum and their Management are sorry to report that due to personal commitments Bassist, Kristian Sawkins, will be leaving the band.
Kris has been with the band for the last two years but now unfortunately needs to commit to other aspects of his life.
He has agreed to help the band honour all present commitments.- 2010 has been an unusual time for Sanctorum with the bands line up changing twice in six months but despite these set backs they will continue to evolve and progress and with the recording of their third album going ahead as scheduled in Sept. 2010, they are looking forward to bringing their fans the next loud chapter in their story.

Rest In Peace - Ronnie James Dio....
An absolutle tragic loss to the Rock & Metal world! DIO was, and has been a massive influence to everyone in Sanctorum, not to mention the whole Metal world! He will be truely missed!
Our thoughts go to his wife, Wendy Dio, and the members of Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell.

broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family
were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed
away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all.
We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given... us.
Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss.

Vater Drum Sticks...
Matt Alston and Sanctorum, are proud to announce that Matt is now Endorsed with Vater Drum Sticks!- Matt is obviously very excited to become linked with Vater, who are such a major company within the drumming world - as are Ddrum (who Matt has been endorsed with since late 2008).

IMPORTANT NEWS: Lead Guitarist...
Sanctorum are very pleased to announce that Alex Commons will be replacing ex. lead guitarist Ash Lewis within the band.
Ash Lewis expressed his wish to leave the band back in early Jan. 2010 and after auditioning/jamming with some very talented guys a unanimous decision was made by the band and their management to appoint Alex Commons to the line up.
Alex (Al) aged 19 brings a style and talent that will enhance the bands existing material and be especially put to good use on the forthcoming, yet to be named, new studio album scheduled for release later in 2010.

Bloodstock 2009 DVD
Going back to August 2009 - Sanctorum played at the mighty Bloodstock Open Air Festival, and were lucky enough to have our entire live set recorded by the festival's camera crew, along with some backstage footage following us around during the festival!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
We hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, and New Year celebrations! We certainly did!!
Since Sanctorum have been writing a new album since September '09, updates to the website have been slim-to-none; basically because there isnt much interesting news coming through! BUT - if you would like to keep up-to-date on everything, however small....ADD US ON FACEBOOK!!- Also, our first gig for 2010 has been confirmed! We will be playing alongside the mighty BEHOLDER @ Red Lion, Gravesend - 8th January 2010!
- Well, we've had our Christmas break, now its time to get back to work! Our new album, (still untitled) is nearing completion - so expect us to be recording soon!!
2010 will be Sanctorum's finest year :)

Writing progress for the 'NEW ALBUM' and Bloodstock update..
Hi All, We just wanted to give you a quick update on whats happening in our world....
As you know we are getting ready for the Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2009,this time next week! It's our first time at Bloodstock and we are really looking forward to it.... It will be awesome!
We already have a few interviews lined up for the festival so keep watching this space for further details.
As for other things....
We have been working hard on new material for the 'THIRD' Sanctorum album, this one promises to be bigger and better than before.
The new material we have written so far is sounding great and we are really pleased with the way things are progressing, at present we are on schedule, but we want this to be the best album we can produce so there's still some way to go yet....
It will be worth all of the Blood ,Sweat and Occassional Tears!
