The underworld, london

29th June 2008 - Sanctorum + Barely Breathing

Sanctorum are a band that really come into their own in a live situation. Their Underworld gig with Barely Breathing at the end of June showed a promising ability to stamp their authority on stage and command the (admittedly limited Sunday night) audience with a proficient and exciting performance.

The enthusiastic new (six-string) bassist Kris seems to be fitting in nicely alongside the original members – Aaron (vocals and guitar), Ash (Lead guitar) and Matt (Drums of Doom).

Make no mistake, these guys can PLAY. Britain’s got talent? You bet your ass it has! But you won’t find it mincing about on some lame Saturday night TV show. Oh no. You will find it however, by getting off your collective asses and venturing out and about to the smaller venues of this nation where it is putting in the hours, paying its dues and hoping for some recognition for its efforts by creating something original and believing in it 100%.

So come on people, isn’t about time we started supporting real talent?
