Sanctorum are the UK 's answer to Poland 's Decapitated. Except they're better. Straight outta school - not sure if they got anything done if they were practising this hard - they've gone fer the throat and released this awesome debut. Its got precision, power and good song structures that make you think heavily of In Flames and Metallica (no guessing from the band's name) in particular during their 'Ride The Lightning' era. The big selling point (and where they trounce the Polaks) is the maturity inherent in the 10 tracks making up "The Heaven's Shall Burn". I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that I don't believe that even Metallica were this good in their youth ("you're a dead man" - James Hatefilled). If there's downside then its got to be the lack of their own distinct sound but its a start. And a bloody good one at that.
